Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Livestock Labourer to join our team at Le taj Farms. As a key member of our farm team, you will be responsible for the daily care and management of our livestock, including goats and sheep.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clear fields of wood and stones to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our animals.
  • Develop and guide the behavior of farm animals to promote their well-being and productivity.
  • Diagnose and address any health issues that may arise, working closely with our veterinarian to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Disinfect pens, barns, and poultry houses to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Feed and tend to our animals, ensuring they receive the best possible care and nutrition.
  • Formulate feeding programs to optimize animal health and productivity.
  • Maintain accurate records of livestock performance, including weight, health, and behavior.
  • Select livestock for sale, working closely with our sales team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Perform general farm duties as required, including maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physically demanding role requiring a high level of energy and stamina.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, as well as work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Organized and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on quality and safety.
