Culinary Services Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Services Manager to join our team at Devonshire Retirement Residence. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional food services to our residents while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and sanitation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the culinary services team to deliver high-quality food services that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Develop and implement menus that are nutritious, appealing, and meet the Canada Food Guide standards.
  • Manage food budgets, inventory, and ordering to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, including HACCP and WHMIS.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and other departments to achieve business objectives and improve resident satisfaction.
  • Recruit, train, and develop culinary services staff to ensure a high-performing team.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators, including food costs, resident satisfaction, and staff engagement.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of a recognized course in Culinary Management or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations, including HACCP and WHMIS.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dietary management software.
