About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles.

Estimate and Manage Resources

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and manage resources to ensure that we have the necessary stock and supplies to meet customer demand.

Ensure Quality and Safety

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and that all health and safety procedures are followed.

Manage Budget and Reports

Prepare budget and cost estimates, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Communicate with Customers

Address customers' complaints or concerns, and provide exceptional customer service to ensure that our customers have a positive experience.

Work Environment

As a Food Service Supervisor, you will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and will be required to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service establishment is necessary.

Work Setting

You will work in a food service establishment, coffee shop, fast food outlet or concession, or restaurant.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

You will work in a combination of sitting, standing, and walking, and will be required to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and kneeling.

Personal Suitability

You will need to have excellent oral communication skills, be a team player, and have flexibility in your work schedule.
