Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Development Representative to join our team at United Rentals. As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a critical role in driving revenue growth and expanding our customer base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Engagement
    • Qualify and quantify the needs of our existing customer base by utilizing our CRM program and persuasive selling techniques.
    • Validate and collect primary decision maker's contact information and customer needs for use on future sales and marketing campaigns.
  • Sales and Marketing
    • Leverage marketing and sales tools to identify and sell new customers.
    • Recover declining and dormant customers via our sales tools and comprehensive United Rentals value proposition.
  • Branch Operations
    • Support and learn about branch operations.
    • Learn accurate use of United Rentals' IT systems for quotes, rental, sales, reservations, territory management.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Coordinate with all branch departments to ensure customer satisfaction.
    • Communicate field issues to branch personnel.
  • Problem-Solving and Negotiation
    • Negotiate prices on equipment rentals and sales in accordance with pricing policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
    • One year experience in a sales-related role preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Proven planning, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Proficient computer skills with at least 1 year experience using Microsoft Office.
    • Strong presentation skills and demonstrate effective sales orientation.
    • Strong teamwork and organizational skills.
  • Additional Requirements
    • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record is a must.
    • Willing and able to relocate.
