Job Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented Draftsman with a strong background in mechanical engineering to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in creating precise technical drawings, models, and schematics, contributing to the development of innovative mechanical solutions.
Main Responsibilities:- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD software based on engineering designs and specifications
- Modify existing drawings as needed, incorporating changes in design and updating as-built documentation
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to clarify technical details and ensure drawings meet project requirements and standards
- Review engineering sketches, drawings, and blueprints to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Generate bill of materials (BOMs) and assist in the preparation of technical documents
- Ensure all drawings adhere to company, industry, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of drawing revisions and document changes
- Diploma or degree in Drafting, Engineering, or a related field
- Proficient in AutoCAD (2D and 3D)
- Experience with other CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor) is a plus
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering concepts, technical standards, and manufacturing processes
- Experience in mechanical or industrial drafting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with project management tools and software
- Ability to interpret engineering sketches, drawings, and blueprints
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce accurate and precise technical drawings
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
