Job Summary

The Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medicine Inpatient Unit team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, coordinate, and manage patient care in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and well-being.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care delivery.
Requirements
  • Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Current BCLS certification.
  • Additional formal educational requirements/certifications as required in the department.
  • Membership in a professional association specific to nursing service area.
  • Computer literacy in current software applications.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional growth and development.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to function independently within the scope of practice.
  • Sound problem-solving, communication, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Sound knowledge of nursing process and responsibilities of the profession.
  • Ability to learn from and with other members of the patient care team.
