Budgeting Analyst for Ontario Medical Association

The Ontario Medical Association (OMA) seeks a skilled Budgeting Analyst to join its finance team. This key role is responsible for delivering high-quality financial analysis and providing decision support to departments within the association.
About UsThe OMA advocates for and supports doctors, striving to strengthen their leadership role in patient care. We aim to be the trusted voice in transforming Ontario's healthcare system by embracing best practices, new ideas, and solutions.
Responsibilities- Develop the annual budget and periodic forecast for designated departments through thorough cost analysis and review.
- Analyze actual financial results and provide insightful commentaries on key variances compared to budget, forecast, or prior year.
- Create financial reports and reporting packages/presentations for OMA and its subsidiaries.
- Provide timely analysis and reconciliation of assigned accounts; prepare supplementary schedules and analysis for financial statements.
- Support internal and external audit; prepare working papers and supporting documents for the year-end audit.
- Participate in projects aimed at improving accounting processes and procedures.
- Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent.
