Animal Health Specialist

As an Animal Health Specialist for our Toxicology team at our Laval site, you will be responsible for the well-being of all our research animals. Your success will ensure the health of our animals, as well as the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.
Main Responsibilities- Collecting biological samples (blood, urine, etc.)
- Recording data (weight, food consumption, clinical signs, etc.)
- Administering injections (subcutaneous, intramuscular, etc.)
- Handling animals
- Cleaning animal rooms
The minimum qualifications sought for this position are as follows:
- Diploma in Animal Health, Bioecology, or any other related field in Animal Science
- Bachelor's degree in Biology or equivalent
- Good observation skills
- Able to work physically (lifting up to 20kg, walking, standing, squatting, etc.)
- Understanding of English reading is mandatory. Bilingualism in French and English is preferred
- Location: Laval / Free parking / Metro Montmorency nearby
- Salary: From $23/hour. Possibility of starting at a higher level with a higher salary with specific experience in research
- Benefits:
- Night shift: $2.50
- Weekend shift: $2.75
- Overtime: Time and a half
- Holidays: Double time
- Work Schedule: Flexible schedule, candidate must be available during the day, evening, and weekend. According to the company's needs, you may have to work overtime, holidays, and night shifts
- Permanent position from hire, full-time 37.5 hours per week
