We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterization Lab team at Sault Area Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver patient care
- Utilize the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
- Provide health education to patients and families
- Assist cardiologists with invasive cardiac procedures, including angiography, angioplasty, and pacemaker insertions
- Monitor patients post-procedure, including removal of femoral sheaths
- Work in a team environment, wearing lead apron/vest and thyroid collar as required
- Certificate of competency in Ontario
- ACLS certification, current within last two years
- Current certification in venipuncture (I.V. certification)
- ECG Interpretation
- 2 years critical care experience and/or cardiac cath lab experience
- 2 years current hemodynamic monitoring experience
- Experience with titration of cardiac medications, inotropes, and invasive cardiac monitoring
- Demonstrated clinical competency in patient management and care
- Knowledgeable in the utilization and care of mechanical equipment
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Demonstrated behavior consistent with the hospital's mission statement and values
- Ability to maintain successful working relationships and interact with people in a professional manner
