Job Title: Sandblaster - Metal Products Manufacturing

We are seeking a skilled Sandblaster to join our team at Umbrella Group of Companies. As a Sandblaster, you will be responsible for operating metal cleaning equipment to remove excess welds, rust, scale, and other materials from surfaces of metal products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate metal cleaning equipment to remove excess materials from metal products
  • Transport items throughout the plant using powered equipment
  • Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the plant manually
  • Immerse metal products in cleaning solutions
  • Assist structural steel and platework fitters, sheet metal workers, metal machine operators, or other metal workers
  • Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal, and other materials
  • Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools
  • Clean machines and immediate work areas
  • Load and unload vehicles
  • Polish metal products to mirror finish
  • Read and interpret work orders
  • Operate forklifts
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
  • Valid driver's license and own transportation
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle heavy loads
  • Manual dexterity and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral communication skills and team player
