Job Title: Executive Catering Director

We are seeking a seasoned Executive Catering Director to lead our Suites and Catering Department at Rogers Centre. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for effectively managing and directing all day-to-day aspects of the department.

The Role:

  • Assist the Director of Suites and Catering with managing and directing all day-to-day aspects of the Suites and Catering Department.
  • Work closely with the Executive Chef on menus for all events related to suites and catering, including VIP menus.
  • Ensure total guest satisfaction by following up on the day of the event.
  • Provide timely responses and support to clients and guests.
  • Assign daily tasks to the Suites and Catering office assistants.
  • Review invoicing and communicate with the Finance team daily.
  • Provide instruction on company policies and procedures to Suites and Catering team members.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, provincial, local, and Legends regulations.
  • Make operational recommendations and establish prices for products and services within approved budgets.
  • Assist with establishing yearly Catering and Suites sales and profit goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3-5 years' management experience in the high-volume foodservice industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
  • Customer service oriented with the ability to communicate with employees, vendors, client representatives, and guests in a positive and professional manner.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours due to business requirements.

Salary and Benefits:

The estimated salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience. The compensation package includes a competitive salary, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid vacation, and RSP plan.

Working Conditions:

This role requires working in a fast-paced environment with regular exposure to different culinary offerings and presentations. The physical demands of this job include sitting, talking, hearing, using hands and fingers, and handling controls. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
