The TeleSAFE Consultant will work collaboratively with the interprofessional care team to provide person-centered, culturally safe, and recovery-oriented care.

They will provide consultation, support, guidance, and mentorship to onsite staff, and support patients and onsite clinicians via phone and/or video for virtual SAFE examinations.

The Consultant will ensure patients and their support systems are supported in navigating the healthcare system and accessing community resources.

They will practice in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

The TeleSAFE Consultant will work in a trauma and violence informed lens, using evidence-informed practice to provide care.
