Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Store Manager to join our team at Petro Canada Victoria. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of 5-10 people and overseeing the daily operations of our convenience store.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and control daily operations, including managing staff and assigning duties.
  • Evaluate daily operations and make adjustments as needed.
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including determining merchandise and services to be sold.
  • Implement price and credits policies, and locate, select, and procure merchandise for resale.
  • Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, and determine staffing requirements.
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages.
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers, and conduct performance reviews.
  • Supervise office and volunteer staff, and ensure a fast-paced and efficient work environment.
Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a retail or convenience store environment.
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of database software, inventory control software, and computerized bookkeeping systems.
