Salary

The salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, RRSP matching, and paid time off.

Job Description

As a medical director at VCA Canada, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our emergency department. This will include managing a team of veterinarians and support staff, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines, and providing exceptional patient care.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience working as an emergency veterinarian in a high-volume hospital setting
  • Leadership experience, including supervising a team of veterinarians and support staff
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders
  • Demonstrated expertise in emergency medicine, with the ability to make sound clinical decisions in fast-paced situations
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
