We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Custodian to join our team at GJE Transport and General Services Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Head Custodian will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Coordinate Cleaning Staff: Hire, train, and supervise a team of cleaning staff to ensure the facilities are cleaned to a high standard.
  • Inspect and Maintain Facilities: Conduct regular inspections to ensure the facilities meet safety and cleanliness standards, and make recommendations for improvements.
  • Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Prepare budgets and cost estimates for cleaning and maintenance services.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Coordinate with other departments to ensure a smooth operation of the facilities.
  • Maintain Financial Records: Maintain accurate financial records of cleaning and maintenance services.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Certifications: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
Work Environment:

The Head Custodian will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads.
