Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute marketing plans and sales budgets to drive business growth.
  • Conduct customer analysis to identify opportunities and develop targeted marketing strategies.
  • Supervise record-keeping functions, including sales and inventory management, to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Lead and develop a team of agronomy professionals, providing training and performance reviews to ensure high-quality service.
  • Collaborate with the Manager to develop sales and marketing programs for the market area, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for agronomy product sales and grain volumes within the assigned market area.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare reports on sales activities and market trends to inform business decisions.
  • Liaise with customers, competitors, and industry partners to promote agronomy products and services.
  • Manage invoicing and accounts receivable for the agronomy product location.
  • Establish and maintain efficient and safe warehousing procedures for inventory management.
  • Ensure the agronomy center is presented in a manner that maximizes customer appeal and service.
  • Prepare annual operating and maintenance budgets, recommending capital requirements to the Market Center Manager.
  • Ensure staff receive appropriate safety and environmental training.
Requirements:
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in agronomy inventory management and sales.
  • Good knowledge of agronomy products and grain marketing.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Education and Experience:
  • Diploma in Administration or Agriculture.
  • Requires Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) and Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certification.
  • Must be working towards the Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) designation.
  • Forklift Operator and First Aid Certification.
