We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate, Social Ventures to join our team at the Community Sector Council NL. As a key member of our Social Innovation Lab, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing a portfolio of 15 client social enterprises within the incubator.
Key Responsibilities- Client Support: Provide personalized guidance and mentorship to each of the ventures going through the social acquisitions, understanding their unique needs, challenges, and goals.
- Support and Accompany Clients: Support and accompany clients through the acquisition due diligence process.
- Funding and Financing: Identify and evaluate funding opportunities, including grants, loans, and investment options, suitable for the specific needs and stage of each social enterprise.
- Networking and Partnership Development: Cultivate a robust network of contacts within the social enterprise, business, and philanthropic communities to create partnership opportunities for clients.
- Monitoring and Evaluation: Develop and implement systems to track the progress and impact of the social enterprises.
- Awareness and Promotion: Stay aware of current research, trends, and best practices in social acquisition and develop awareness and training content.
- Post-Secondary Education: Post-secondary in business, entrepreneurship, social enterprise, or related field.
- Experience: Prior experience in business incubation, entrepreneurial support, or social enterprise development.
- Skills: Excellent networking and relationship-building skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting, and a passion for social impact and a commitment to fostering sustainable solutions to societal challenges.
- Annual Salary: $60,000-$70,000.
- Benefits: Enrollment in our Health and Dental program, Employer-Employee shared contributions to a pension plan, three weeks annual leave, 12 days wellness leave, recognized statutory holidays, cultural leave, and flexible work arrangements based on a 35-hour work week.
