Key Responsibilities- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide personal care and support to clients with physical or cognitive impairments
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Document client care and progress
- Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards
- Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Training and/or maintenance of competence
- Valid Manitoba Class 5 driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of settings, including community, healthcare centers, and hospitals. The position involves extensive physical activity, including standing, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment. The candidate must be able to work shift work and weekends, and may be required to travel between client homes.
