Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technologist to join our team at Kinectrics. As an Electrical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing lab and field tests, preparing technical reports, and responding to customer inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform lab and field tests using standard techniques and processes.
  • Prepare technical reports and designs.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and maintain good customer relations.
  • Solve problems of a routine nature.
  • Perform inspection of product and document on inspection forms.
  • Prepare shipments.
  • Assemble products, including soldering, wiring, and mechanical assembly.
  • Test products to approved procedures using measurement and test equipment.
  • Complete required paperwork to support our QA program.
  • Participate in the analysis of test results and data.
  • Write reports of a routine nature.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and maintain good customer relations.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by following good quality and safety practices.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as word processing and maintaining filing and record systems.
  • Perform routine processes and duties, such as shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
  • Frequent travel to and work at customer sites in Canada and internationally.

Requirements

  • Completion of Secondary School in technical studies or equivalent.
  • Up to 5 years related experience or equivalent advanced education in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or similar.
  • Experience using modern test equipment and instrumentation.
  • Experience using modern electronic test equipment and instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical principles.
  • Experience in troubleshooting electrical/electronic devices, testing.
  • Good computer skills for data acquisition and analysis.
  • Good knowledge of QA principles and safety practices.
  • High level of initiative and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be granted nuclear site security clearance.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills to work co-operatively with staff and clients.
