Electrical Design Technologist Job Description

TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Technologist to join our team in Edmonton, Alberta. As an Electrical Design Technologist, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for various projects, including healthcare, infrastructure, commercial, and light industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop electrical systems, including calculations, code research, and material selection
  • Collaborate with architectural, mechanical, and structural engineering teams to ensure coordinated designs
  • Prepare contract drawings and specifications for electrical systems
  • Review and verify accuracy of electrical designs and specifications
  • Provide construction site services to ensure projects are constructed according to design documents
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of electrical design experience
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology
  • Intermediate to Expert level with Revit and AutoCAD
  • Preference for candidates with consulting experience and Revit design experience
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrate understanding of quality standards, engineering fundamentals, and principles
