Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Underwriter to join our team at Definity. As a Commercial Underwriter, you will be responsible for assessing and managing risk for our clients, ensuring that our insurance products meet their needs and provide the necessary protection.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate risk for commercial clients, including property, liability, and workers' compensation
  • Develop and implement underwriting strategies to manage risk and ensure profitability
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including sales, marketing, and claims teams, to ensure seamless delivery of insurance products
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in underwriting
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, including responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
  • Insurance knowledge with awareness of risk and at least two years of experience in Commercial Lines underwriting
  • Excellent communication and people skills, with strong motivational skills and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with sales and customer service
