Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Procurement Lead to join our team at Jagir Contracting Inc. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the procurement function and developing strategies to achieve business objectives.

About the Role
  • This is a permanent position with an estimated salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • The successful candidate will have 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in procurement or a related field.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and control budgets and expenditures to ensure efficient use of company resources.
  2. Develop and implement purchasing policies and procedures that align with business objectives.
  3. Evaluate the cost and quality of goods or services to ensure optimal value for the company.
  4. Authorize the development of specifications for products or services.
  5. Manage contracts and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible terms.
  6. Review and process claims against suppliers to minimize disputes.
  7. Analyze data and information to inform procurement decisions.
  8. Prepare reports to communicate procurement performance and progress.
  9. Advise senior management on procurement-related matters.
  10. Assign, coordinate, and review projects and programs to ensure timely completion.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as supply chain management or business administration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex procurement issues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Dependability, initiative, and judgment to make informed procurement decisions.
  • Team player with excellent written and oral communication skills.
