About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse to join our team at the United Counties of Leeds and Grenville. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a long-term care setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer Medications: Safely administer medications to patients, monitoring for any adverse reactions or side effects.
  • Record Patient Information: Accurately record patient information, including medication administration, in patient files.
  • Monitor Patient Progress: Regularly monitor patients' progress, evaluating the effectiveness of nursing interventions and consulting with the healthcare team as needed.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Certifications: Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination, CPR Certificate, and First Aid Certificate.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a long-term care setting is an asset.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and strong attention to detail.
