Job Summary

RT Medical is seeking a skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our team. As an RPN, you will provide high-quality care to individuals in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
  • Monitor and assess residents' health conditions.
  • Provide wound care and assist with dressing changes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  • Educate residents and their families about health conditions and treatments.
  • Ensure residents' safety and comfort.
  • Document residents' health status and care provided.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide immediate care as needed.
Requirements
  • Diploma from a recognized RPN program or equivalent.
  • Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Experience working in a long-term care or retirement home setting is considered an asset.
  • Valid Standard First Aid and Level C CPR.
  • Updated immunization records (including completion of a two-step tuberculosis test within the last 6 months).
  • Clear Vulnerable sector checks are required upon hire.
