Tank Technician Shop Labour RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Tank Technician Shop Labour to join our team at AFD Petroleum. The successful candidate will be responsible for working on fuel tanks and preparing them for the next job, ensuring they meet customer specifications. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in maintaining our high standards of quality and service.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct regular repairs and maintenance on fuel tanks and equipment entering the shop, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Perform installation and removal of piping, hoses, valves, and other components on petroleum storage tanks, prioritizing efficiency and safety.
- Participate in housekeeping activities to maintain a clean and organized workspace within the shop and yard, promoting a culture of safety and respect.
- Assist with various general labor tasks, including painting, decal removal, fuel transfers, and cleaning, utilizing your mechanical aptitude and adaptability.
- Collaborate with Welders, electricians, and other trades personnel as required, fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Operate heavy machinery, such as wheel loaders, forklifts, and overhead cranes, under close supervision and guidance.
- Hold a high school diploma or equivalent, with 3+ years of experience in a shop/field or mechanical setting.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and technologies.
- Possess a clean driving record, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Exhibit a professional attitude, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
- Meet physical demands of the role, lifting and moving up to 50 pounds with ease.
The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary range of $55,000-$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, AFD Petroleum offers a comprehensive benefits package, including discounts on fuel, educational assistance, paid orientation and training, an employee assistance program (EAP), and 40 personal paid hours for sick days and appointments.
Your Schedule and Work EnvironmentThis is a full-time position, requiring a 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm, with occasional overtime as needed. You will be based in our state-of-the-art facility, equipped with modern tools and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
