McKeil Marine Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Third Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our marine operations team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our vessel's machinery and equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Report to the Chief Engineer and ensure the safe and efficient operation of all vessel machinery and equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs to prevent downtime and ensure the efficient functioning of the vessel.
- Monitor and manage bunkers, lubricants, and spare parts inventory.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and class requirements.
- Review and sign off the Engine Room Logbook and maintain the Plan Maintenance System.
- Collaborate with the crew to maintain a safe and healthy working environment.
- Fourth-Class Motor Engineer Certificate issued by Transport Canada.
- Marine Emergency Duties (MED's) STCW Basic Safety and Survival Craft Certifications.
- Transport Canada Marine Medical.
- Experience with Safety Management Systems (ISO & ISM).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Self-starter, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
