About the RoleThis contract role offers an hourly wage ranging from $40.00 to $54.00, based on experience. The successful candidate will work straight days from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with potential overtime on weekends. In addition to competitive compensation, you will also enjoy comprehensive health benefits, including medical and dental coverage, as well as an RRSP matching program at 4%.
Responsibilities- Maintain, repair, overhaul, and install hydraulic systems on heavy vehicles and industrial equipment, focusing on Parker hydraulic pumps and CAT/Cummins engines.
- Read and interpret hydraulic schematics, blueprints, and code specifications for industrial equipment installations.
- Perform troubleshooting, testing, and repairs to ensure proper operation of equipment.
- Install mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel systems as per schematics and industry standards.
- Mentor and provide training to apprentices under supervision.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and contribute to a safe working environment.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Certification as a Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician or Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic.
- A strong understanding of hydraulics, power transmissions, and diesel engines.
- Experience with hydraulic schematics, hosing, crimping, and troubleshooting.
- CVIP licensing or relevant experience is a strong asset.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a focus on precision and mechanical troubleshooting.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability to new technology and processes.
