Senior Python Developer Opportunity

This is a chance to work with a leading investment/wealth management services firm as a Senior Python Developer with AWS expertise. The role is based in downtown Toronto, Ontario, and offers a hybrid work arrangement with 4 days in the office per week. The contract is for 6 months, with possible renewal.

About the Role

As a Senior Python Developer, you will be responsible for managing timelines and deliverables within the team to ensure successful project delivery. You will design software solutions by interacting with portfolio managers, traders, operations staff, and peers to understand requirements. Your solutions should be in line with the client's technology biases, deliver efficiency and scalability, and enable new trading activities.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage project timelines and deliverables to ensure successful project completion.
  2. Design software solutions that meet client requirements and are aligned with their technology biases.
  3. Develop solutions that deliver efficiency, scalability, and enable new trading activities.
Requirements
  1. 5+ years of experience in Python in an enterprise environment, covering the whole development life cycle.
  2. Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage client expectations.
  3. Technical skills with AWS technologies such as Lambda, SNS, SQS, and S3.
Preferred Skills
  1. Python and Java development background.
  2. Capital Markets domain knowledge.
