Cedar Millhand

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Cedar Millhand to join our team at Pacific Coast Cedar Products Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machinery and equipment in our sawmill operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Feed conveyors, hoppers, saws, and drying machines to ensure efficient production.
• Load chips, sulphur, and processing materials as required.
• Sort, pile, and transport wood products to designated areas.
• Remove scrap lumber and wood chips for reprocessing.
• Clean machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

• We provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.

Support for Youths:

• We provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.

Support for Indigenous People:

• We provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
