About the Role

VON Canada is seeking a skilled Continuing Care Assistant to join our team in Pictou County, Nova Scotia. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and light household duties
  • Provide respite care and support to clients and their families
  • Monitor and maintain household safety, including fall prevention and emergency preparedness
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other support workers to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements
  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification (CCA) or equivalent
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
