We are seeking a highly skilled Pension Calculations Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our D.A. Townley team, you will provide complex technical analysis and pension calculations services for members of our administered pension plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconcile pension payments, lump sum payouts, and transfers against custodial pension registers and financial statements.
  • Determine eligibility for transfer deficiency payments and prepare information packages.
  • Calculate pension adjustment (PA)/pension adjustment reversal (PAR) amounts and report to plan custodians.
  • Prepare year-end pension reconciliations and contributor statements.
  • Calculate annual cost of living adjustments for pensioners and forward required adjustments to plan custodians.
  • Prepare data for tri-annual actuarial valuation and reconcile membership, hours, contributions, and pension benefits.

Requirements

  • Completion of a bachelor's degree in Actuarial Sciences or an equivalent discipline.
  • 2 years of previous related experience in an actuarial or pension administration environment.
  • Demonstrated mathematical skills and critical thinking skills.
