Retail Sales Associate

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Calgary Hijabs & Clothing Centre. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and possess a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate a cash register and process transactions accurately and efficiently;
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly;
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including restocking shelves and disposing of trash;
- Process money, cheques and credit/debit card payments, handling cash and making change as necessary;
- Assist customers with finding products and answering questions about our merchandise;
- Work collaboratively with other sales associates and management to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store atmosphere;
- Possess a Secondary (high) school graduation certificate;
- Be willing to relocate or commute to the store location;
- Have experience working in retail, preferably in a fast-paced environment;
- Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, being able to work effectively with colleagues and customers alike;
- Be able to lift up to 25 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly around the store floor;
- Work under pressure, meeting sales targets and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction;
- Show attention to detail, accurately processing transactions and maintaining accurate records;
- Demonstrate flexibility, adapting to changing priorities and schedules as needed;
- Be a team player, contributing to a positive and productive work environment;
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a professional attitude and appearance.

- Permanent full-time position available;
- 30 to 40 hours per week;

- Estimated salary range: $35,000 - $45,000 annually.
