Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic Technician to join our team. As a Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and repair of mechanical systems, equipment, and piping on our ships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and repair mechanical systems, including engines, pumps, and valves, on ships in construction or dry dock.
  • Use lifting equipment, disassemble and reassemble machines and equipment, and participate in testing during work.
  • Install and repair piping systems.
  • Maintain and repair machinery and work equipment.
  • Perform preventive inspections and other routine maintenance tasks.
  • Verify and repair fixed and mobile machinery and equipment.
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by your supervisor.
  • Participate in and support activities in the health, safety, and environmental management system.

Requirements

  • Diploma in mechanical engineering, plumbing and heating, or other related field.
  • Knowledge of diesel mechanics and piping.
  • Experience in mechanics (an asset).
  • Good manual dexterity.
  • Flexibility and teamwork.
  • Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors.
