We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Child Development Specialist to join our team at Blessed Generations Academy.
Key Responsibilities:- To develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Maintain daycare equipment to ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
- To lead activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
- Encourage children to express creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
- Guide and assist children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
- Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
- Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors.
- Discuss progress and problems of children at staff meetings.
- An Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate is required.
- A First Aid Certificate is also required.
- 5-10 years of experience working with children in a childcare setting is an asset.
- The ability to work collaboratively with coworkers and community service providers is essential.
- Knowledge of licensing regulations and the ability to establish guidelines for behavior is necessary.
This position requires working in a fast-paced childcare environment with a team of professionals dedicated to providing high-quality care to children.
Compensation:The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000 CAD, depending on experience. Benefits include health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
