Job DescriptionKey Responsibilities:
- Load, unload and transport construction materials to and from job sites;
- Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt under the direction of supervisors;
- Level earth to fine grade specifications using various tools and equipment;
- Assist in demolishing buildings and structures safely and efficiently;
- Perform routine maintenance work on construction equipment and vehicles;
- Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants, and dispose of waste properly;
- Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites, and maintain a safe working environment;
- Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction, such as cement mixers and cranes;
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent;
- No degree, certificate or diploma required;
- Previous experience in construction labouring or a related field an asset;
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in physically demanding environments;
- Strong communication and teamwork skills;
- Ability to follow instructions and take initiative;
This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires strong physical stamina. You will be working outdoors, often in varying weather conditions, and must be able to lift heavy objects, bend, stoop, and climb ladders.
