Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing ultrasound procedures in accordance with departmental standards to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment. This role requires a strong understanding of hospital and departmental policies and procedures, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ultrasound procedures to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment
  • Facilitate the provision of optimal patient care
  • Adhere to hospital mission and value statements while maintaining patient confidentiality
  • Provide radiologists with high-quality imaging and accurate technical impressions
  • Perform other duties related to the job classification as required

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited program in ultrasound technology
  • Registration with the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists in Ontario (CMRITO) required
  • ARDMS (CRGS) certification in abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology with preference given to those who are also RVT (CRVS) or eligibility for registration with ARDMS (CRGS) within six months of the date of hire
  • Recent experience in related area of responsibility required
  • Able to perform breast imaging is an asset
  • Experience in general abdominal, obstetrics/gynecology, paediatric, vascular, and musculoskeletal an asset
  • Experience in ultrasound special procedures i.e. biopsies, an asset
  • FMF NT certification an asset
  • Membership with Sonography Canada an asset
  • Proven skill in the production of high-quality ultrasound images
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Excellent attendance, punctuality, and work record

Additional Information

Hours: Weekend Nights, 8 hour shifts, including statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)
