Activation Aide Role

The Activation Aide plays a vital role in our community, fostering meaningful connections and enhancing the lives of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and plan activities, programs, and events that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Develop and implement programs that promote socialization, engagement, and overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with other therapy programs to provide a comprehensive and inclusive experience for our residents.
  • Document and evaluate program effectiveness, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related field, such as recreation and leisure studies, therapeutic recreation, or gerontology.
  • Current Standard and/or Emergency First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • Valid Food Handlers Certificate.
  • Previous experience in program planning, documentation, and evaluation.
  • Ability to pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check, as applicable.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Competency in Point Click Care and MS Office.
