About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at PERFIT DECOR & REMODELING GROUP INC. as a Building Trades Assistant. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting skilled tradespersons with various tasks on construction sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Materials: Safely load, unload, and transport construction materials to and from job sites.
  • Erect and Dismantle Forms and Scaffolding: Assist in erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades.
  • Mix, Pour, and Spread Materials: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Assist with Framing and Building: Assist skilled tradespersons with framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs.
  • Level Earth and Remove Debris: Level earth to fine grade specifications and remove rubble and other debris at construction sites.
  • Support Skilled Tradespersons: Assist skilled tradespersons with various tasks and provide support as needed.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Support for Youths: Offers mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for youth.
  • Support for Indigenous People: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports Indigenous people.
