We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Professional to join our team in the Technology sector. The role of General Accountant is located in Mississauga, Ontario.

Job Summary

This contract position requires an individual with extensive experience in full-cycle accounting. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication abilities.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance. This involves preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciliations, and other reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.

In addition, the selected candidate will have expertise in MS Excel, with proficiency in data analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. They will also be deadline-driven, able to handle high volumes of work during month-end closing, and possess a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger maintenance
  • Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and other reports
  • Provide expert advice on financial matters and implement process improvements
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A degree in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in full-cycle accounting
  • Expertise in MS Excel, including data analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities
What We Offer
