Job Overview

RG CPA PROFESSIONAL CORPORATION is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team. As a key member of the accounting department, this role will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing financial statements, and maintaining general ledgers.

Estimated Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is approximately $45,000 to $55,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll: Ensure accurate payment processing for employees.
  • Calculate fixed assets and depreciation: Maintain up-to-date records of company assets and depreciate them as necessary.
  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems: Accurately record financial transactions and maintain account balances.
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements: Prepare financial reports and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Post journal entries: Record business transactions in the general ledger.
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports: Provide financial insights to management and stakeholders.
  • Prepare tax returns: Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns.
  • Prepare trial balance of books: Verify the accuracy of financial records before finalizing statements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • MS Excel skills: Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
  • Computer and technology knowledge: Familiarity with accounting software and systems.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year experience: Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred.
