Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Leader to join our Energy team in Mississauga. This role is perfect for someone who wants to leverage their skills in structural engineering to drive project success.


Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with technical staff to develop foundation, structural, building, and civil engineering designs for electrical transmission and distribution substation projects.
  • Prepare work plans and tenders for new projects, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
  • Lead and mentor junior/intermediate engineers and technicians, providing guidance on project workflows and best practices.
  • Promote ongoing customer relationships through inspections, site interventions, and effective communication.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in civil structural engineering, preferably in the energy sector.
  • Member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario (PEO).
  • Familiarity with building codes, design codes, and standards.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software and computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
  • Working knowledge of Revit and BIM software.
  • Excellent written and spoken English language skills.
  • Strong organizational, report writing, and communication skills.
  • Effective teamwork and collaboration skills, with attention to detail and prioritization.
