Key Geology Consultant

We are a global consulting firm that combines technical expertise and innovation to solve complex challenges. Our team of experts in Western Canada is seeking a Senior Geologist to join our Engineering Group.
This role involves providing geological services to clients in the mining sector, including geologic modelling, resource evaluations, and mine permitting applications. You will work collaboratively with a diverse group of experts, including geologists, engineers, and metallurgists, to collect and analyze geological and geotechnical information.
Responsibilities include optimizing and maintaining drill hole databases, reconciling historic and modern geology mapping, and quality control/quality assurance of sample data. You will also undertake and supervise geological field investigations, QA/QC site visits, and other field reviews as necessary.
In addition to your technical skills, you will be responsible for developing proposals and cost estimates for client review, communicating with clients and sub-consultants, and scheduling and managing projects to meet budget and timelines.
As a key member of our team, you will support junior and intermediate staff in a mentorship role and establish and maintain strong client relationships. You will also prepare safe work forms for field work and commit to maintaining safety as paramount in all work.
To be successful in this role, you must have a degree in Geology, Geoscience or Earth Science, with a focus on economic, structural or ore deposit geology. You should be registered as P.Geo with EGBC, or equivalent professional organization, and have a minimum of 8 years recent and relevant experience in a consulting environment.
Other requirements include demonstrated knowledge of geological modelling software such as Geovia Surpac, Datamine Studio RM, and Seequent Leapfrog, as well as geostatistical concepts and analyses. You must also be qualified as a Person as per National Instrument 43-101 and have valid Class 5 driver's license or equivalent.
