About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Electronics Engineer to join our team at Kardium Inc. in Burnaby, BC. As a key member of our technical team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing the next generation of high-quality medical devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement analog and digital circuits, including documentation, schematic capture, and PCB layout
  • Develop and test complex electronic systems, ensuring high performance and reliability
  • Debug and troubleshoot electronic systems, including multi-board systems with multiple processors, firmware, RF, and communication links
  • Test and validate prototypes of custom electronics
  • Support design transfer to manufacturing and service
  • Mentor junior team members and co-op students
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical or electronics engineering
  • At least 7 years of experience in electronics engineering
  • Experience with electronics CAD tools, preferably Altium Designer
  • A history of mentoring less experienced engineers
  • Board level analog and digital circuit design experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills
  • Experience with safety and EMC standards
