Job Summary

A Best Builders & Excavating Ltd. is seeking a skilled Plumbing Technician to join our team. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of plumbing systems, water supply networks, and waste and drainage systems.
  • Locate and Mark Pipe Connections: Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
  • Cut and Join Pipes: Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings, and join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment.
  • Determine Piping System Requirements: Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
  • Measure and Bend Pipes: Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to the required shape and size.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in plumbing or a related field.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
