Elementary Education Assistant

We are seeking a part-time teacher-tutor to join our team at Oxford Learning Centres, Inc. This role involves working with elementary students in a learning centre setting, providing guidance and support in reading, writing, math, and French.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction to students in a one-on-one setting
  • Follow the Oxford Learning methodologies and philosophies
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times

Requirements:

  • Availability during after-school and evening hours
  • Commitment to the end of the school year
  • In-person instruction
  • Ability to commute to the learning centre
  • Mandatory vulnerable sector screening

Education and Experience:

  • Some post-secondary education preferred
  • Experience teaching or tutoring elementary students
  • Strong English written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to teach French is an asset
