Job Title: Freelance Copywriter

Company Overview:

SSENSE is a global technology platform operating at the intersection of culture, community, and commerce. Headquartered in Montreal, it features a mix of established and emerging luxury brands across womenswear, menswear, kidswear, and Everything Else.

Job Description:

The Freelance Copywriter will write product descriptions for SSENSE's wide range of products. Working on-site at our Studio in Montreal, they will ensure the best-in-class quality of our written content for our e-commerce platform, in line with SSENSE guidelines and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute copy on assigned SKUs across a variety of brands and product categories, while respecting the established style guides and balancing with productivity targets
  • Follow SSENSE production processes, and flag and/or troubleshoot issues to ensure daily production completion
  • Administer departmental guidelines to meet the quality standard and upkeep SSENSE brand tone of voice
  • Conduct research on terminology, brand signature, and style name as needed
  • Manage time appropriately to achieve daily production deadlines and quality targets
  • Review and follow-up on SSENSE style guides

Continuous Improvement:

  • Consistently review daily copy feedback provided by Sub Editors to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Review and follow-up on industry tools, techniques, and best practices in copywriting

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in English Literature, Fashion Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in professional writing
  • Fluency in English language
