About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance/Certified Millwright to join our team at our Fox Creek sawmill in Fox Creek, AB. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mill's machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on all mill machinery, including pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers, and chains.
  • Inspect equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions, and implement safe and reliable fixes to keep the mill running.
  • Manage your time effectively to assess and prioritize maintenance tasks, and work collaboratively with the team to achieve goals.
  • Apply your knowledge and skills to troubleshoot issues, boost equipment reliability, and implement safe and reliable fixes.
  • Have a high degree of attention to detail to identify and request relevant parts to complete repairs in a timely manner.
  • Be accountable for assisting in a safe work environment for coworkers, customers, and visitors on site.
Requirements
  • Red Seal Certification is considered an asset but not required.
  • Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50lbs.
  • Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with coworkers.
  • Knowledge of the lumber or industrial manufacturing process is an asset, as well as experience with welding procedures and equipment reliability.
