Job Description

Job Title: Project Management Director

Job Summary:

The English Montreal School Board is seeking a highly skilled Project Management Director to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for managing the tendering process, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks, and providing exceptional customer service to our internal clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deploy a compliant tendering process that respects regulatory frameworks and treats internal clients with a customer service approach.
  • Manage tender preparation, negotiate contracts, and oversee all tenders for department contracts.
  • Act as secretary of the selection committee for calls for tenders and ensure quality assessment and certificate issuance.
  • Analyze training needs of tendering process clients and provide necessary support.
  • Develop KPIs related to tender management and enforce contractual completion.
  • Organize, assign, and verify the work of employees assigned to the Procurement department.

Requirements:

  • Diploma of Collegial Studies (DEC) in a relevant field of study and six (6) years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field of study, or hold a senior executive or senior staff position in a school board.
  • Professional experience in relevant fields, including 2 or more years of procurement management experience.
  • Strong technical abilities and proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in both French and English.
