About the Role

Diverse Abilities Religious Education (DARE) is seeking dedicated volunteers to support the success and inclusivity of our program. As a volunteer, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and enriching environment for participants with diverse needs.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Participant Support: Collaborate with program staff to provide support and assistance to participants during program activities. Foster a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for participants and their families.
  • Program Engagement: Actively participate in program events, workshops, and activities. Volunteer for specific roles or tasks that align with individual skills and interests.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with program staff, fellow volunteers, and parents. Share feedback, insights, and suggestions to enhance the overall program experience.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training sessions provided by the program to enhance understanding and skills in supporting individuals with diverse needs. Engage in continuous learning to stay informed about best practices in inclusive education and community support.
  • Community Building: Contribute to the creation of a supportive community for participants and their families. Participate in community-building activities and initiatives.
  • Volunteer Coordination: Work closely with the program coordinator to coordinate volunteer activities and assignments. Support the recruitment and onboarding of new volunteers.
