Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide range of equipment, including agricultural, GPS, lawn and garden, and commercial construction equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Use state-of-the-art equipment to diagnose and repair equipment
  • Assemble and perform pre-delivery inspections of new equipment
  • Use John Deere computer programs to read manuals for diagnostics and repairs
  • Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training to develop and advance your knowledge base and skill set

Requirements

  • 4-5 years of experience in a Heavy Equipment Technician or Agriculture Equipment Technician role
  • Class 5 Driver's license with a clean driver's abstract
  • Physically capable with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Basic computer skills
  • Team player with excellent listening skills
  • Ability to work independently with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to be adaptable

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous John Deere agricultural equipment experience
  • Journeyperson Certificate – Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) or Agricultural Equipment Technician (AET)

Compensation

$30-$35 per hour

Term of Appointment

Permanent, Full-Time position
